Khappinghat Creek runs through Saltwater National Park and Khappinghat Nature Reserve. We have discovered that the entrance to the creek has been opened this year after heavy seas and this has helped to flush the water clean.
There is a boat ramp leading into Khappinghat Creek from Saltwater Reserve and it is great exploring the mangroves in a canoe or kayak. Of course this is also a popular fishing spot - especially now the entrance is once again open to the ocean.
