Black Head is a small community located on the coast of New South Wales near Forster. It is a pretty little area and is very popular during the school holidays, with a nice safe beach for swimming. Black Head Beach is patrolled during the summer months and has an ocean pool, picnic areas, barbeques as well as public toilets. The Black Head Surf Lifesaving Club overlooks the beach and is open for breakfast on weekends during the holiday season - it is also available to hire for functions.
The Black Head Markets (as shown in the photo) are held on the first Sunday of each month from September to May and offer a great variety of home made and home grown products. They are very popular with locals and visitors to the area.
The local shopping centre has a very good supermarket (Foodworks), baker, coffee shop, chemist, excellent butcher, Post Office, Library etc. There are plenty of accommodation options available in the area. We really enjoy this part of the country- beautiful beaches and great weather.
