The Wyndham Caravan Park is a very shady place with lots of trees. It has a new amenities block and seems very neat and tidy. We visited this park on a day trip from Kununurra and found it to be quite appealing. It looks like a very relaxing place to stay when visiting the area - close to the eastern end of the Gibb River Road. Lots of birds can be seen around the gardens and there is even a resident donkey who loves to be patted.
Features of the park include:
We found the staff to be friendly and helpful - happy for us to look around the facilities and take some photos. There was a helicopter parked in the paddock beside the Wyndham Caravan Park so I guess you can also fly in for a visit. At the back of the park is a very large Boab tree which is reported to be the largest in captivity - over 2000 years old.
