It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.
We called into Port Smith Caravan Park on a day trip from Broome, about 160 kilometres south along the Great Northern Highway (then 23 kilometres along a well maintained dirt track towards the ocean). Port Smith is a popular fishing spot and the Caravan Park provides large sites allowing room for your boat. There is plenty of shade available throughout the park and the Reception/Shop sells supplies, fuel, bait, gas refills etc.
The drive to the beach is over mud flats in order to go fishing so be very mindful of the timing of high tide - you will not want to get stranded. Port Smith Caravan Park will happily give you information on fishing spots, and provide a pass to display on the dashboard as you will go onto an Aboriginal station before accessing the beach.
This is a peaceful, relaxing spot to spend some time and we met people who come here every year for the large variety of fish.
