Point Samson is a lovely little coastal village about 57 kilometres north of Karratha. The Cove Holiday Village was recommended to us by people we had met several weeks earlier - what a lovely spot. This is a beautifully tidy and well maintained park with double cement slabs for the caravan and awning and a gravel site to park the car. Behind the vans is a lawn strip with trees. Amenities have a wide entry with no doors and are very clean. Check out the large steel girders as this is a cyclone area. The park is very close to several beaches and rocky areas which are good for fishing - Honeymoon Cove. Zebra finches are in large numbers around the park.
This lovely park has several accommodation options:
Facilities are as per any good caravan park with - clean amenities including family bathroom (laundry), recreation room, Children's playground, camp kitchen, and barbeque area. This park allows dogs (check with management) and even has a car wash facility.
Point Samson boat ramp is not far away and there are restaurants and hotel within walking distance - we ate at the Samson Beach Tavern during our stay which was delicious (upstairs overlooking the water). This is a lovely area of the coast and Point Samson is not too far from the historic village of Cossack where you can view the phenomena "staircase to the moon" which occurs at sunset during certain times of the year.
I would not hesitate to recommend The Cove Holiday Village.
