Coral Bay Travel Articles

Our articles have been grouped into locations so you can better read about what there is to see and do in a town.

It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.

Bayview Coral Bay     Read more ...

Bayview Coral Bay Holiday Park is close to the Beach and shops. There is a cafe and takeaway shop located within the park if you want a night off cooking.

The water supplied to the showers and caravan sites is from an artesian bore and is unsuitable for drinking. Drinking water is desalinated and available from several taps located around the park.

This is a very popular place for family holidays and the park has plenty to entertain the kids - jumping pillow, playground, pool and tennis court. Of course you can easily walk to the beach and go snorkelling and swimming or take one of the many tours that are offered around Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef - they even have quad bike tours through the sand hills. There are great fishing spots nearby and I am told there is a really good chance you will catch something.

Peoples Caravan Park     Read more ...

While travelling down the coast of Western Australian with our caravan we decided to call into Coral Bay for a few days. This is a truly beautiful spot on the Ningaloo Reef - fantastic for snorkeling off the beach.

Peoples Park Coral Bay was our choice of caravan parks in this small village which was a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. I think we planned to stay for two nights and ended up staying for the week. We were very pleased to learn that the Peoples Park has desalinated water for showers and laundry facilities throughout the park.

The water on the sites is artesian bore water which is undrinkable, but fine to wash in. We had filled our tanks with desalinated water at the Exmouth Visitor Information Centre and chose not to hook the bore water to the van. There are clearly marked drinking taps located at both ablution blocks and at the campers kitchen to fill up water bottles. This park is slightly more expensive than the other caravan park in town but we decided that desalinated showers were worth the money.

Peoples Park is a large park with a number of great facilities:

  • three new barbeque areas with dish washing facilities
  • large campers kitchen with fridge, microwave, hotplates, large undercover seating area and barbeques - fresh water tap
  • two ablution blocks - baby bath and laundry facilities
  • ocean front sites only metres from the beach - for Caravans, Campervans and Motor Homes only
  • powered and un-powered sites
  • range of cabins and villas with desalinated water - self contained
  • dump point

At the entrance of Peoples Park, is the Peoples Shopping village where you will find:

  • grocery & souvenir store
  • NOTE:  Fuel is no longer available from the shop a new swipe card facility is now available on Banksia Drive - this is easy to access while towing a van
  • tourist information and booking services - Ecotours
  • Coral Bay Shells - jewellery and Billabong clothing
  • Alfresco restaurant open all day (with internet access) - great coffee
  • ice, bait & gas refills
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peoples Park Coral Bay and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. It is within walking distance to everything in this small coastal village.
