We decided to stay the night at the Caiguna Roadhouse caravan park when travelling east across the Nullarbor towing our caravan. The roadhouse serves meals, has bar facilities and is quite neat and tidy - they also provide Motel rooms for an overnight stay. We were allocated a large flat drive through site and were able to leave the caravan hooked onto the car. This site was powered but you are required to use your own water - as you can imagine water is very scarce in this part of the country. The amenities block is basic with hot showers and flushing toilets. We sat outside our van and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the desert.

There is a golf course that stretches across the Nullarbor (from Kalgoorlie to Ceduna) and one of the holes is located at the Caiguna Roadhouse. The greens are created from artificial grass - longer around the edge for chipping. Artificial grass is also provided for the tee-off area - beware the fairway is natural scrub so leave your good clubs in the car. You pay a fee to play this course, get your card stamped at each hole and receive a certificate when you complete your game. You can play the course from either direction and it seems like lots of fun.
