Broome Caravan Park     Read more ...

Broome Caravan Park is located about seven kilometres west of Broome, just off the Broome Road - 14 Wattle Drive. This is a large park with about 200 powered sites. They can cater for large motorhomes and 5th wheelers on bigger sites scattered throughout the park - you will need to book these. This park also provides onsite accommodation which are fully self contained chalets or park homes.

The reception has a kiosk that sells fresh bread, milk, drinks, ice etc, and they have lots of information on tours available in the area - the staff will even make the booking for you. This looks like a lovely park with lots of shade, flat sites and a very well equipped camp kitchen with free gas barbeques. Fish cleaning facilities are located within the park as well as a dump point.

We found the amenities to be clean and well maintained. The absolute gem in this park is the swimming pool area - a beautiful large resort style pool, with a 25 metre lap pool along one side. There is a generous grassy area around the pool with lots of seating and plenty of shade.

Broome Vacation Village Caravan Park     Read more ...

Broome Vacation Village Caravan Park can be found on Port Drive as you head towards the Port of Broome in Western Australia. This is a very nice looking park with beautifully maintained gardens and roads. The cabins are neat and tidy and cater for tourists visiting the area - the 1-2 bedroom chalets are larger giving you more room for the family. Ensuite caravan sites are available throughout the park as well as a large shady camping area.

Directly outside the park entrance is a bus stop and across the road is the Broome Golf Club. This park is just a few minutes drive to Cable Beach, Port, Chinatown, Historical Museum, Chinese / Japanese Cemetery, etc. They have a lovely pool area and a small shop providing basic items.

Broome Vacation Village Caravan Park was a welcoming place with staff happy to help with our enquiries.

Cable Beach Caravan Park     Read more ...

Cable Beach Caravan Park is located on Millington Road about five kilometres from the centre of Broome in Western Australia. This park is a 5-10 minute walk to the famous Cable Beach. We visited Cable Beach Caravan Park to take some photos and have a look around - this is a very large caravan park with about 500 powered sites. They were in the process of constructing a building at the entrance which will house a new office, cafe and owners quarters - this looks very impressive

The park has great facilities - swimming pool, convenience shop, children's playground, barbeques, fish cleaning area, dump point etc. The amenities are clean and there are beautiful trees around the park providing lots of shade. Of course this park is very busy during the peak holiday season in the Kimberley - you will need to book ahead.

Palm Grove Holiday Resort     Read more ...

Palm Grove Holiday Resort is on the Corner of Cable Beach and Murray Roads in Broome, Western Australia. We stayed here for two weeks and found it very comfortable and relaxing. We had booked a site but were able to walk around the park and choose one that suited us better - our daughter was joining us in Broome and staying in a tent beside the caravan. The spot was large and very shady in the afternoon - plenty of room for caravan, tent and car. The staff were welcoming and friendly and happy to help with information about the local area. They will book tours for you and most operators will pick you up from the gate of the Resort.

This is a beautiful Holiday Resort which is just a short walk from Cable Beach - you can either walk on the track through the sand dunes or along the road to the beach access beside the Broome Surf Life Saving Club. I think watching at least one sunsets over Cable Beach is a must during your stay in Broome.

Palm Grove Holiday Resort has well maintained gardens with lots of shade, a beautiful covered pool area, campers kitchen, laundry and several accommodation options - studio cabins, family and standard park homes as well as caravan and camping sites. There are gas barbeques, a fish cleaning facility (if you are lucky) and a dump point for your convenience. The amenities are cleaned at about 6 am each day so as not to interrupt guests wishing to use the facilities - they are spotless. We thought this early cleaning time was a great idea.

A general store is located beside the resort which sells groceries, souvenirs, takeaway, coffee and provides evening meal specials if you would like a night off cooking. A mini golf course is located between the Resort and the general store. Divers Tavern is across the road as well as a town bus stop with a regular service to town.

Check-out time is 10 am and check-in time is 10.30 am - how wonderful is that, they don't make you wait until 2 pm to park your van. The gardener was always busy, trying to rake sites between visitors to keep things neat and tidy.

We really enjoyed our stay at Palm Grove Holiday Resort and will definitely choose this caravan park on our next visit to Broome.

Roebuck Bay Caravan Park     Read more ...

Roebuck Bay Caravan Park is situated on the shores of Roebuck Bay in Broome, Western Australia. This park is looking a bit old and tired but has some great spots backing onto the water - these sites can be very windy but have wonderful views over the Bay. We have a friend who stays here for several months at a time because there is a boat ramp near the park and he can easily head out into Roebuck Bay to go fishing. The amenities block looked quite clean and well maintained.

There is plenty of shade within the park and it has a range of accommodation - on-site caravans, powered caravan sites, powered and un-powered camping sites as well as Mango Camping Ground (separated from powered sites with its own ablution block, laundry, campers’ kitchen with gas cook tops and microwave ovens.)

Roebuck Bay Caravan Park is close to town beach, shops and restaurants. This park is apparently very busy during the tourist season .

Tarangau Caravan Park     Read more ...

Tarangau Caravan Park can be found at 16 Millington Road Broome in Western Australia. It is located within walking distance of the famous Cable Beach - a very popular spot to watch the sunset over the Ocean or maybe go for a ride on a camel. You can also walk to restaurants and cafes in the area.

Tarangau Caravan Park has powered and unpowered sites available as well as barbeques, camp kitchen and a dump point. The park has lots of shade but most of the sites appeared to be dirt (this could be a result of constant visitors over the tourist season). I think the park looks a bit tired but it has a great location and appears to be relatively popular.
