Gavin and Janine Doyle had recently taken over Yackandandah Holiday Park and we were keen to stop by and have a chat. We had met their children while staying at Echuca and said we would call in to say hello and take some photos of their caravan park for the RvTrips website. What a beautiful setting in the middle of historic Yackandandah with crystal clear creeks and amazing gardens. Janine said the driveway was a great feature of the park and I would have to agree as the Agapanthus were in full flower and the canopy of trees provided plenty of shade - just beautiful.
We received a very warm welcome from Janine who was more than happy for us to wonder around and take photos. This is a quiet, small park that has lots to offer those wishing to find a truly relaxing spot for a holiday in Victoria. Some features include:
This is a great spot to base yourself in order to explore the region - gold panning and tours at Karrs Reef Gold Mine, Murray to mountains rail trail, wineries, Beechworth and it's famous bakery etc. I must admit that I did not know where Yackandandah was before this trip - what a discovery and I can't wait to head back to explore more of this beautiful area of Victoria.
