Our articles have been grouped into locations so you can better read about what there is to see and do in a town.
It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.
While visiting Robinvale in Victoria we were advised to stay at the Robinvale Riverside Caravan Park located just over the bridge as you enter town. This is a lovely little Family Park which is extremely well maintained and situated on the banks of the Murray River - just upstream from Lock 15 and the weir.
Our greeting upon arrival was very friendly - Geoff and Jenny were only too happy for us to look around and select a site - they even offer a drive-though site when the park is not too busy. These have gravel on one side for the car and grass on the other for the caravan. Of course we chose a lovely grassed site overlooking the river which had plenty of shade - after all it was 42 degrees Celsius the day we arrived in town.
Facilities of this lovely park include
The river is wide in front of the Caravan park and is perfect for boating, water skiing, fishing, and, of course Stand Up Paddle boarding (we carry an inflatable Fanatic board with us). Robinvale Riverside Caravan Park is located within walking distance to the supermarket and local shops as well as the Visitor Information Centre. We found this such a relaxing place that we extended our stay at the caravan park and I would not hesitate to recommend it to fellow travellers.
The Weir Caravan Park is located beside the Murray River and a few kilometres out of the town of Robinvale in Victoria. This is a quiet park near Lock 15 and its weir and appears to have several on-site caravans. We understand that a number of people come to the area during harvest time (grapes and almonds) and require accommodation. There are several powered and ensuite sites on the riverbank which is very peaceful, and the park offers plenty of shade.
Facilities include:
The Weir Caravan Park is well away from traffic noise yet close enough to explore the attractions of the Robinvale/Euston area.
