Rawnsley Park Station is situated between the town of Hawker and Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. We stopped by to have a look on our trip from Wilpena Pound to the Yorke Peninsula and were made to feel very welcome.
The Station is beneath the beautiful Rawnsly Bluff and has a range of accommodation and tours for people visiting the area. One of the walks into the Rawnsley Range allows views into Wilpena Pound itself which is quite spectacular. This is a great spot to base youself to explore the area and is located only about 20 kilometress south of Wilpena Pound Resort.
Rawnsley Park Station offers caravan and camping sites, cabins and luxury eco villas. This is very large set up including the award winning Woolshed Restaurants and a licensed store near reception selling alcohol, basic supplies, fuel and souvenirs. There are plenty of tees providing shade to sites, and an enclosed camp kitchen , several amenities blocks and lots of space for privacy.
Rawnsley Park Station also has a very nice looking pool and this place appeared to be very popular. We spoke to several visitors to the area and they highly recommended a few days on this lovely property in the Flinders Ranges.
