Pine Point is a small town on the main road between Point Turton and Ardrossan on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia and only about 2 hours drive from Adelaide. The town itself has some lovely old buildings, large mud flats with lots of Pine Trees (of Course) with fields of wheat and barley stretching up and down main highway.
The Pine Point Caravan was created after closure of the Pine Point School during the 1970's and has kept the brick facade of the original School building. Some facilities at the park include:
There are tennis courts, mini-mart, public phone, boat ramp and pier nearby in Pine Point and I understand this is a well known spot for catching mud crabs. You can make bookings for the Black Point Camping Reserve (located on the beach and close to the public boat ramp) through the managers of Pine Point Caravan Park.
