Peterborough Caravan Park was a great place to stop for a while when travelling from Port Augusta to Broken Hill. There are a number of large drive through sites and we were able to stay hooked up to our caravan. The Park is surrounded by farmland and the views were quite stunning at sunset - it can get a bit cold at night so have your jacket ready.
The Peterborough Caravan Park is a few blocks off the main Highway but is well signposted and easy to find. The country was very dry so the sites are gravel, but flat and well maintained - they are very easy to access.
The amenities block is beautifully clean (with piped music) and we found the staff very friendly and helpful - went out of their way to make us welcome even though we arrived close to nightfall. The camp kitchen is well laid out and the laundry set up is extremely good. Cabins are also available at this park. I would not hesitate to recommend the Peterborough Caravan Park as a place to stay when in this part of South Australia.
