Avoca Dell Top Tourist Park (Top Parks) is located on the edge of Murray Bridge as you head north along Murray River, about five kilometres form the Visitor Information Centre. It is set on the high side of the road overlooking the river, Avoca Dell Reserve, a lovely wetland and bird watching area. This caravan park looks to be older and quite small but has some nice looking sites.
Some facilities available at Avoca Dell caravan park are:
Avoca Dell is close to a boat ramp at Avoca Dell Reserve which is only a couple of hundred metres away. This reserve appears to be very popular with lots of shade and public toilets.
The Murray Bridge Resort, Caravan Park and Marina are located at the end of Roper Road on the banks Murray River, and not only has accommodation available in the caravan park, but can organise houseboat hire and marine maintenance as well.
Murray Bridge resort is well off the main highway in a quiet location shaded by gum trees - set on a terraced area overlooking the river. A large boat ramp is located near the reception building for access to the mighty Murray. The speed bumps down the road towards the reception are quite savage - we recommend that you drive very slowly.
Some facilities available at this very neat and tidy park are:
Access and exit lanes run beside the Reception Building which is open seven days a week from 8 am to 6 pm. The fully equipped marina and slipway can accommodate large houseboat and provide a maintenance and repair service onsite. The Murray Bridge Resort have made some selected sites, and cabins available for medium to long term rentals.
Murray Bridge Tourist Park is located on the Old Princes Highway and main road into town from Adelaide - a member of Family Parks. This park was formerly known as the Princes Highway Caravan Park. The staff were very welcoming and happy for us to look around. There are quite a few permanent vans located within the park and the sites available for overnight stays look very nice.
Facilities available at the Murray Bridge Tourist Park are:
Wayne and Kylie are the owners who are working hard to improve the caravan park and parts of the park look very good.
