The Minlaton Cabin and Caravan Park is centrally located on the Yorke Peninsula and a great place to base yourself when exploring this part of South Australia. This lovely little country caravan park is easy to find as you enter the town from the north – opposite the HJ Cook Fauna Park on Maitland Road. It is an open with plenty of shade, nice flat sites and friendly country service.
Some of the facilities available at the Minlaton Cabin and Caravan park are:
Minlaton is home the ‘Red Devil” aeroplane which is housed in a special display room at the Captain Harry Butler Memorial. This town has a really lovely main street with beautiful gardens created on the median strips. They have an award winning chocolatier and coffee roaster in town but unfortunately it was closed the day we passed through. During our travels around Minlaton we saw vast areas of barley fields and later discovered that Minlaton is known as the 'Barley Capital of the World". Quite amazing to see these crops growing so close to the ocean as you travel down the Yorke Peninsula.
We would not hesitate to stay at Minlaton Cabin and Caravan and enjoy the lovely friendly service provided by Cheryl and Frank.
