Stanthorpe is situated in the highlands of southern Queensland near the border of NSW and just off the New England Highway. We stayed at the Top of the Town Tourist Park while visiting Stanthorpe on a recent caravan adventure. This lovely park is a member of Top Parks and situated on High Street next to the Showground - alongside the Heritage Museum. To return to the Highway after your stay it is just a short drive along High Street from the Caravan Park.
This park is very well maintained with a range of features:
The park is set in natural bush land which is full of native birds and we were allocated a large site to enable us to stay hooked onto the car overnight. Unfortunately we could only stay one night and had to head off early the next day. A lovely feature of Top of the Town are the herb gardens growing in the park for the use of visitors staying overnight. There are also fire-pits in certain area (it can be cold here overnight in winter) and camp kitchens with plenty of seating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Top of the Town and would not hesitate to recommend this friendly park whenever you are visiting Stanthorpe.
