The Ravenshoe Railway Caravan Park (Travellers Rest) is located at the Ravenshoe Railway Station on the main street. Very conveniently located close to town with cafes, shops and pubs all within easy walking distance. This is a basic park at the old railway station and the ladies toilets are on the station platform while the amenities are contained in a demountable building - all clean and the water was hot. Contact the onsite caretaker to pay for your overnight stay (very reasonable rates).
We had a large grassy site with enough room to stay hooked up overnight. The Park has powered and un-powered sites, a camp kitchen, camp fire area and they are pet friendly. The Ravenshoe Caravan Park is owned and managed by the Ravenshoe Railway Company Limited, which is a not-for-profit organisation. This is quite an historical site with the ‘Capella’ the last D17 steam locomotive operating in the world, found at the Ravenshoe Railway Station.
