The Discovery Park - Mount Isa can be found on Little West Street and backs onto the Leichhardt River. This Park is conveniently located and offers a range of accommodation - cabins, powered ensuite sites, powered and unpowered sites, for caravans or campers, and long term sites extended stays. Accommodation is also available for those working in the area.
The pool area has a shade to keep the sun off when you want a cool dip in the middle of a hot day. There are barbeque facilities available as well as a camp kitchen for use of guests. They have internet access within the Park and a kiosk for basic supplies.
Mount Isa Caravan Park is on the Barkly Highway (Marian Street) as you drive into town from Cloncurry, and is within walking distance to the Tourist Information Centre and Woolworths supermarket. Just across the road is The Overlander - a licenced hotel and restaurant.

This seems to be quite a large park and is convenient to town - very popular during the Mount Isa Rodeo weekend.
The Sunset Top Tourist Park is found on Sunset Drive about two kilometres from the Mount Isa Visitor Information Centre. We have stayed here several times while travelling outback Queensland towing our caravan. Each time we have found Steve and Julie to be friendly and helpful - making sure we get a site that suits our van.
Our last stay was over the weekend of the Mount Isa Rodeo and this park is located close to the grounds. They have shady sites and the amenities are always clean. The swimming pool is located at the front of the park but we did not have time to use this facility during our stay.
Sunset Top Tourist Park also has a camp kitchen with stove, fridge and freezer as well as free barbeques and self contained cabins or villas. The park is pet friendly and reasonably priced - you will receive a discount if you are a Top Tourist member.
We have enjoyed staying at this park with easy access from the road and very quite at night. I particularly like the great sign as you leave "We don't want ya arms, we don't want ya legs, we just want ya back again - Drive safely Steve and Julie".
The Discovery Park - Argylla is about two and half kilometres from the Mount Isa town Centre. It is located on the Barkly Highway as you drive into Mount Isa from Cloncurry, Queensland. This is a lovely looking and well maintained caravan park and we found the staff very helpful when we called in to take a look around.
