Our articles have been grouped into locations so you can better read about what there is to see and do in a town.
It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.
Lucinda is located on the coast of Queensland, about 138 km north of Townsville. The Wanderers’ Holiday Village is a perfect sport for a fishing holiday or a base to explore Hinchinbrook Island, the Hinchinbrook channel, Orpheus, Pelorus, Curacao and the Palm Islands. These are well known fishing locations and my husband would love to return with his boat.
This caravan park is within walking distance of the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, shops, pub and various fishing spots. The park allows pets during off peak times so make sure you call and check with the managers..
The park has ample storage for boats of all sizes (outside peak periods), and a fish cleaning shed complete with freezer for storage of waste and/or bait. The park has all the facilities required for a relaxing holiday including a swimming pool and large amenities. It was very dry during our visit and some sites were a bit dusty.
Keep an eye out around the park for the Curlew - we saw two resting under trees during the heat of the day. The reception staff were very friendly during our visit and quickly told us about the famous fish and chip shop just around the corner. Of course we had a beautiful seafood lunch sitting under the trees in the nearby park.
