Our articles have been grouped into locations so you can better read about what there is to see and do in a town.
It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.
Cooktown Holiday Park is located on Charlotte Street, Cooktown - the usual discounts apply for members. This is a very nice park with lots of shade and large sites - our site was flat, grassy and close to the amenities. The amenities block is great with each room like a mini ensuite – plenty of bench space, large shower and toilet (all bathrooms are male/female). These ensuite bathrooms were among the best we saw on our trip around Australia and provide plenty of room if travelling with someone needing assistance in the shower.
Cooktown Holiday Park has an internet kiosk, wireless internet access, tour bookings, shaded swimming pool, camp kitchen with free BBQs, (lots of seating), television and fish cleaning area. Within the park is a car/van/boat wash bay (fee applies) to remove the dust after your far North experience. The convenience store sells bait if you want to try your hand at fishing in the tropical north of Queensland.
Cooktown Holiday Park has lovely tropical gardens and plenty of shade. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful - they even offer caravan valet parking if you would like some help at the end of a long day.
