During our drive from Mackay to Rockhampton in nortthern Queensland we stopped at a small place called Clairview – just off the Bruce Highway.
The Caravan Park at Clairview is called the Barracrab Caravan Park. As the name would suggest this is a great spot for fishing with a large area of the park located along the beachfront. There are great views across the ocean and a number of people staying here had their own fishing boats.
This is lovely beach and the caravan sites were flat – quite dry but lots of shade trees throughout the park. The beach front sites appeared to be quite narrow.
They have a café/restaurant/bar overlooking the water – this is rustic with lovely friendly service.
