BIG4 Wagga Wagga Holiday Park     Read more ...

The BIG4 Wagga Wagga Holiday Park is located on the Stuart Highway (Hammond Avenue) as you enter town from the Gundagai side. The entrance to this park is easy to spot with nicely trimmed hedges and beautiful gardens. It located in a commercial area of town but the sites are set well back from the road so you don’t hear too much traffic noise.

Jeff is the manager of this caravan park and works hard to keep everything neat and tidy. The Camp kitchen has windows all the way around and seems to be very popular for evening meals.  Large bench tables, barbeques and cooking facilities with a TV on the wall to watch the evening news. The park amenities are centrally located - these are old but clean.

The park has two ensuite powered sites for those requiring private facilities - we find that sometimes when older people are travelling with a sick partner they prefer ensuite sites.

There are various powered sites – grassed, gravel or slab with space for van and car and grassed areas either side.  Plenty of trees for shade and beautifully cared for gardens – bushes trimmed, lawn mowed and edges neat. A small pool sits near the entrance with artificial grass which we find very good as it is soft underfoot and does not die off when splashed with the chlorine.  Children’s playground sits beside the pool. Some small sites in front of the camp kitchen are very popular with those travelling in camper vans or small motor homes.

Lots of cabins within this BIG4 park which are mostly small but adequate. Some have been refurbished and freshened up with new bench tops and painted throughout.  A car parking space is provided beside cabin which is a good size and right outside the door making it easy to unpack.

I give this park 4 stars because the grounds are very neat and tidy.
