Our articles have been grouped into locations so you can better read about what there is to see and do in a town.
It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.
Highway Caravan Park is at the Muswellbrook end of Scone on the New England Highway in NSW. This park is very neat and tidy with only a few powered sites available for an overnight stay – these are large enough to stay hooked up and close to the amenities. This park is only small and has a large number of permanent vans.
The sites we were shown during our visit are gravel and easy to access. The amenities appeared clean and the manager was most helpful. This would be a convenient place to stay overnight with only a short walk to town.
The office is usually open from 8 am to 8 pm daily with managers onsite. Un-powered sites are also available as well as self contained accommodation - onsite caravans, two bedroom cabins, or a cosy, one bedroom cottage, known as Alfred Cottage.
Scone Caravan Park is located on the Tamworth side of Scone along the New England Highway and is a family-owned business run by proprietors Trish and Bill. This park did not look much from the outside so I would suggest you head in to have a look around.
This is a pet friendly park and only a short walk from town. There are powered sites available and room for big rigs with plenty of shade. There are camping sites within the park with amenities provided for guests. Scone Caravan Park has self-contained cabins and opening hours are from 8 am to 9 pm daily - after hours by arrangement.
