Jordans Boating Centre and Holiday Park is located on the banks of Hastings River not far from the Settlement Point Shopping Centre and Panthers Club Port Macquarie. This holiday park has water views and, as the name suggests, a range of boating equipment for sale and hire - BBQ boats, canopy fishing boats, sailboards, kayaks and paddle boards.
Accommodation at the Holiday Park includes:
Salty's Bar and Grill Restaurant is only a short walk down the road.
As the name suggests this quiet caravan park is located alongside Lighthouse Beach in Port Macquaire, NSW. The Lighthouse Beach Holiday Village not only has direct beach access but sits adjacent to an 18-hole championship golf course and only 10 minutes drive to the CBD area of Port Macquarie. We find Port Macquarie a great place for a holiday with lots of activities close by - beaches, river, bushwalking, wineries, great restaurants and pubs overlooking the water.
Accommodation available at this holiday village include:
This park is well shaded with plenty of trees with facilities including a cafe (BYO),camp kitchen, barbeque facilities, pool and children's playground.
We have stayed at the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park in Port Macquarie on several occasions and love the location - on the river and close to town. As the name would suggest this caravan park is located on the Breakwall of the Hastings River - distinguished by rows of painted rocks. The rocks have been decorated by tourists and locals with stories of holidays in the area, poems, hand prints, wedding dates etc.
The Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park is very large with a huge range of cabins, back packer accommodation, powered or un-powered caravan and camping sites surrounded by lovely Norfolk Island Pines providing shade.
Some features of this park are:
The main beach of Port Macquarie is known as Town Beach and this is a short walk from the Sundowner Tourist Park. There are a large range of shops only a few blocks away and plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs - we rarely need to use the car as all we need is within walking distance. The only negative of the park are the severe gutters along most of the roads.
The sites are large and fairly flat with areas that can easily cater for large rigs. The access road to the entrance of this park is only small (and fairly steep) but there is plenty of room to park near reception while you check in.
