Highway Tourist Village     Read more ...

Narrabri Highway Tourist Village is a member of Top Parks located on the Newell Highway (Cooma Road) across the Namoi River from town. During our visit in 2016 the sign out the front said that this park was under new management.

We stopped by to look around. This is a small park with lots of trees – would be great in summer with plenty of shade over cabins and sites. They have a several drive through sites but after the recent rain it was a bit wet at the back of the park.

Narrabri Highway Tourist Village has a range of facilities including:

  • ensuite sites
  • children's playground
  • barbeque
  • solar heated salt water pool
  • camp kitchen
  • dump point at rear of the park near camping area

Top park discounts apply and this park is conveniently located near the river and not far from the main shopping centre.

Narrabri Big Sky Caravan Park     Read more ...

While visiting Narrabri in NSW we decided to stay the night at the Narrabri Big Ski Caravan Park – a member of Family Parks. Very friendly managers who were happy for us to look around and choose a site which was easy to access with plenty of space.

This park filled up as the day went on so we were very pleased we arrived early. Great drive through sites with enough room to leave the car hooked up.  About 90% of the sites are drive through which is convenient as most people passing though only stay one or two nights. Amenities are old but clean and open during the day. Locked at night and key used to gain access.

Camp kitchen is open on three sides and conveniently located in the centre of the park. There are slab sites at the rear of the park in a large and flat area with plenty of space. There are a number of new looking cabins within the park and some of these were occupied by people working in the are on short contracts.

This park is walking distance to town and Narrabri RSL club is only about 100 metres away - a great spot for dinner.  We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this lovely country town and the nearby Kaputar National Park - in fact we kept extending our stay at Narrabri Big Sky Caravan Park.

Narrabri Motel & Caravan Park     Read more ...

Narrabri Motel and Caravan is located on Cooma Road (Newell Highway) as you drive into Narrabri from Gunnedah. It has accommodation to suit all budgets and well as powered and un-powered caravan and camping sites.

This was listed as an option in town for caravan sites during our visit but they seemed to be roped off  most of the sites – it was very muddy and wet after recent rains. There are a number of small cabins around the outskirts of the park with drive-through caravan sites in the middle. Reception for all accommodation options is at the front of the motel and clearly signposted.

This property has barbque facilities and a swimming pool and is pet friendly at the Manager's discretion (must be kept on a leash at all times and are NOT allowed inside rooms or cabins. Pets can sleep on the verandah and exercise in a large park on-site).
