The Inland Waters Holiday Park Lake Keepit has been established along the foreshore of the lake with safari tents, powered and unpowered caravan or camping sites, and a number of cabins.
Not far from the caravan sites are tennis courts, children’s water park, playground, boat wash area, fish cleaning bay, kiosk, BMX track. Skate bowl – lots to do for children. These are amazing facilities surrounded by lovely grassed areas and plenty of shade.
The camp kitchen is very well equipped and built around a circular shaped structure with a fire pit in the centre of the building (seating all around to enjoy the fire) - what a great place to meet people. This camp kitchen has heaps of features:
The amenities are housed in a great stone buildings which is very clean and close to the sites. Inland Waters Holiday Park Lake Keepit is a truly lovely spot and I would not hesitate to stay here on my next trip to this region.To access Keepit Dam Road turn off Oxley Highway (47 kilometres from Tamworth or 32 kilometres from Gunnedah) and head along Rushers Creek Road – then onto Keepit Dam Road. This place is well sign posted and very popular with day visitors during summer - boating, fishing, cycling or swimming.
The office is open seven days a week from 8 am - 5 pm and the Lake View Cafe has been refurbished and is now open Wednesday to Sundays - hot food, cold drinks, ice cream and basic supplies.Dogs are allowed on "bush camping sites" - please ring and book directly with the park when travelling with a pet.
