Cowra Van Park is located beside the Lachlan River in Cowra, NSW, just off the Mid Western Highway as you drive through town. This is a lovely little park with lots of shade and grassy spots for caravans or tents, and only a short walk to the main street, restaurants, clubs, pubs, cafes, and shops. The caravan park backs onto some beautiful sporting grounds and we enjoyed watching a country cricket match during our visit to this area. The Visitor Information Centre and beautiful Rose gardens are just a short walk over the bridge.
Some facilities of this lovely park include:
This is a great place to base yourself in order to explore this lovely area of NSW - visit the Japanese gardens, the prisoner of war camp and the Australian - Japanese war cemetery. There are many wineries and vineyards around the district as well as beautiful historic buildings in Cowra and nearby towns of Carcoar, Milthorpe etc.
We found this to be a lovely park with very friendly staff and we would not hesitate to stay in Cowra.
