Our articles have been grouped into locations so you can better read about what there is to see and do in a town.
It's easy, start by picking a location. Each article has a link to an RvTrips' web page containing more detailed information, photos and maps.
We have stayed at the Bathurst Showground Camping and Caravan Park several times during trips to Bathurst. The Showground is conveniently located near the centre of town and we walk to dinner and the main shopping area. The showground is on the Great Western Highway as you drive into Bathurst from Sydney - located across the road from the Visitor Information Centre.
The amenities block is old and still has the pull-chain toilet flushing mechanism in use - they are very clean and work well. The shower cubicles have recently been refurbished and the water is hot. Sites close to the amenities block have power and water and you can park your caravan on a grassed area. Payment for your site is 'cash only' and is payable at the office (under the green awning). There are various unpowered caravan and camping sites available at the Showground.
The Bathurst Showground hosts many events throughout the year so make sure you check that there is room available before planning a stop for the night.
