Alivio Tourist Park is conveniently located in the centre of Canberra with easy access to all tourist attractions. We have stayed here on several occasions and all caravan sites are drive through. The access roads are quite narrow when towing a caravan but each site is long enough to be able to stay hooked up to the car. Some of these sites have ensuites and the amenities block at the bottom of the hill has recently been beautifully renovated. I understand that the top amenities block is currently being renovated and will become a new camp kitchen.
This is a very large park with a huge range of accommodation which is frequently used by School groups, sporting teams, special interest groups and to facilitate family reunions. They have a group dining hall which has capacity for 100 people. The Ridge Cafe and Bar is a fully licensed restaurant located within the grounds of this large park - open for breakfast and dinner Monday to Saturday, and Sunday for breakfast only. They also provide take-away meals and will cater for special occasions.

Canberra is well known for providing many kilometres of walking/cycling tracks and we have cycled from Alivio Tourist Park to various attraction - Bruce Stadium, Lake Gininnderra, Canberra CBD and Lake Burley Griffin.
